Jabaru's folk music is music for the people. A celebration of mother earth. Through a blend of folk and ethnic influences Jabaru manages to tour the world through their music. Jabaru's debut album Zyan won a prestigious sunnie award for album of the year in the folk ethnic category year 2000 from the Queensland Recording Association. Jabaru's music cannot be categorized in any one genre as it reflects so many different influences and themes. Folk Music is music for the peoples of the world scattered far and wide. Every different peoples of the the earth make a distinctive contribution to the defining of mankind. Jabarus music highlights this through their harmonious artistic union in their music. Through a balance in miscellaneous music instruments they make a collective celebration of humankind. In 2001, Jabaru's debut album won the prestigious Sunni Award for the Best Album of the Year in the Folk/Ethnic Catagory at the Queensland Recording Association Awards.

It is a unique international journey featuring native chants and African, Middle Eastern and Celtic influences. The Album builds from warm, rich and ambient to a punchy tribal finish. It is a mixture of intrumental and vocal tracks.

Jabaru's third album was conceived during a 9 month around Australia tour. It was inspired by the outback, nature and the vast and everchanging colours and landscaptes.

Red Earth is a soundscape experience through Tribal, Earthy, Ambient, Trance, Dance and Nouveau Folk influences.

It is filled with primal rhythms, melodic flutes and guitars, rich vocals, funky basslines, vibrational didgeridoo, sprinkled with unusual percussive sounds, bush saxaphone and the dulcimer.

Indigo, our fourth realease, was inspired by our Princess baby Indigo and by our journey across Australia.

This album is an inspiring, original musical experience featuring djembes, floor toms, dun duns, darabuka, yidaki, dulcimer, vocals, flutes, keyboards, berimbau, soprano sax, guitars and bouzouki.

Indigo is a blend of folk and tribal music and features high energy drums.
