Through a wild web of tribal rhythms of congas, djembes, darabuka and electronic drums Jabaru fuse together ancient sounds of didgeridoo, medieval melodies of dulcimer, deep earth songs and chant and a range of different flutes from around the world.
They bring to music an ancient and sacred spirit of the land uniquely integrating ethnic, folk and tribal with technology. As you listen to Jabaru you will find that they demonstrate a deep and abiding respect for all nations, all tribes and our planet and it's people, without regard for their colour, creed or nationality.
Jabaru's success, is based on their blend of world music styles. Their original music takes audiences on a global musical journey. Jabaru was named Best Group in the World/Folk Category at the Sunshine Coast Entertainer of the Year Awards in 2001.
They perform regularly at festivals, markets and venues throught Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
