AUSTRALIAN MUSIC
Jabaru's music reflects a deep connection with the Australian landscape
and rainbow multicultural people. With the spirit of the Australian
land, cycles of power and magic of creation, Jabaru's music celebrates
Australia. Jabaru fuse together the eternal ancient sounds of the
didgeridoo with an array of musical instruments from around the
world. Their interperatation of the everchanging landscapes is the
core of their music.
Jabaru have extensively toured Australia playing and expanding
their world and australian music for the past 3 and half years.
From the sounthern most cocklebay Tasmania, Western Australia's
forests, deserts, gorges and beaches, South Australia's wine country,
ranges and surf, most easterly Byron Bay and Northern Rivers, Queenslands
forests and reefs to the crown of Australia Northern Territory Darwin
where Jabaru base themselves within Australia while performing their
music at markets fairs and festivals.
Australia is a harsh dry country, wide brown lands, golden beaches,
jagged and storm swept coastlines, emerald towering forests, 180
degrees lands with not a soul out there, raging fires, peaceful
starlight night skies, wildlife untamed and colourful. This spirit
penetrates all of Jabaru's Australian music.
