Dear Rene,
About a year to year and a half ago we saw you at Eumundi,
and were so
moved by your music we bought the Zyan CD Then a few months
later we saw you at Brisbane Riverside Markets. Between songs
I introduced my son Dylan (your biggest fan). You were kind
enough to dedicate his favourite song to him, give him a hug,
let us take a pic of you two together and sign an autograph
for him.
We then saw you again in Feb. 2005 and you remembered Dylan
which meant the world to him. He blushed and was so pleased
and proud. Of course we bought your latest cd and adore it!
lol
Thanks for adding the human touch it means so much to many...

Hello. This is Lynn, Director of large child care centre in
Caboolture
(now). I wrote to you a year ago and said how sad i was that
you never
performed at the Folk festival.I love playing your music to
the children i care for. Well i wrote many letters to the
festival body...and then there
you were. Of course it would have had nothing to do with my
letters, but i
was thrilled to listen to you at the Chai tent that night.
I also listened
to you on 13th at Caloundra. I have a head full of rag dreads,
and would
liked to have said hi but was on my way somewhere. I loved
the dog sitting
on the pram roof...looks like all the family travel together...
thank you
again for sharing your music...

Hi!
How are you and the rest of Jabaru? Hope you're all well :-)
I had to write to you after just listening to your album,
Zyan. It is
excellent!
While I was in Darwin in June 2004 I often watched and listened
to your
music at Mindil Beach market. Me and my friends would stand
and nearly end
up being under hypnosis through your music. It is so uplifting
yet relaxing
at the same time.
I was so impressed I bought your whole CD collection there
and then :-)
Now back home home in England and I often listen to your music.
It takes me
to a place I just can't explain. Simply the most beautiful
mix of music and
lyrics.
Keep up the good work and take care,

I was recently doing a Wilderness tour of Kakadu and our guide
had your
CD's, which I absolutely loved. He directed me to the Mindle

a CD and
have played it over and over again - I never tire of it. I
have a

putting on
your CD and being carried away by your music.
Thank you!!

Hi Rene & Rodger
I was unaware of your tour of Darwin and was at the Parap
Markets on
Saturday with my friend. I was lured and enchanted by your
music and very
spiritually connected by it as was my friend. We spent quite
a bit of time
just listening to you both. Your children are beautiful as
children should
be and what a wonderful thing you are doing by having them
with you on
tour. I envy you your lifestyle! Could I come and travel with
you and be
your nanny?? (Just joking!)
For some reason or other JABARU keeps coming back to me and
your first Cd
is one I have looked at many times but have never bought.
Obviously it
wasn't the right time and now it has all come together, the
name, seeing
you, the music and now I will have all your Cds.
You both obviously enjoy what you are doing so keep up the
beautiful music,
the lifestyle, and loving those children the way you do.
One day would love to meet you and did once live at the Sunshine
Coast many
years ago. I am a true Queenslander just enjoying another
part of our
country while I can.
Will keep in touch

Your a great band. Thank you.
I was in QLD in the Fall of 2001 (Spring for me). I listened
and danced
to your music at the Emundi market. Took a few pictures. I
finally got a
computer again and thought I'd send the note I wanted to send
for 3 years.
Wish you could come to the states. Nothing quite like you
guys here. I
mean, sure there's plenty of music here, but you have something
special.
SO.......... don't know when I can make it back to the Aussie
world. But
I sure liked it when I was there.

We were visiting Australia form England at Easter this year
and stumbled
across you in Eumundi market. We loved the music you were
playing and
bought one of your CDs which we played as we toured around
- and is still in my car now!
Our 2 boys love your baby gurgling at the end of the CD! Inspired,
we even
bought a didge which we carried all aound Australia with us
and back home.
We can get the right sound from it but can't sustain it for
very long.
Went on your website to find out how to order your other CDs
and saw from
your news that Indigo has been born! - so just thought we
would send our
congratulations to you all. We are hoping that one day you
will come over >to England to perform (you mentioned you
played in Oxfordshire once, which is where we live) - so we
can come along and watch. Will keep a lookout on your
website.

Top End Tour started with Jabaru
Date: Fri, 11 Jun 2004
Dear Jabaru,
we started our tour through the top end of Australia at 16th
of May 2004
with your concert at Mindil Beach in Darwin. What a start!
You gave us a
lot of energy with your wonderful music. It was a magical
moment,
especially with that congenial dancer (you might remember)
and we'll
never forget it. We bought two of your CDs and they accompanied
us on
our tour to Broome and back to Darwin again, giving us a good
spirit for
the road. We enjoyed them very much and we'd like to thank
you for this.
You bring so much joy to all the people, that listen to your
concerts
and CDs!
Now we're back in Germany, still listening to your music.
I'll check our
CD-stores for your third CD.
I hope everything went well with your newborn child!! Is it
a boy or a
girl? We wish you all the best for your whole family and hope
to see you
again, somewhere in Australia o our next trip.

Subject: Jabaru not accepted into Woodford Folf
Festival
Date: Fri 24 Oct 2003,
G'day,
For months I have enjoyed the street performers 'Jabaru' in
Darwin at theMindil beach sunset markets... They play awesome
music and besides that, you can see that they really enjoy
making music... I have spoken with several people in the audience
and they all agreed that Jabaru is a band you have to see
and enjoy.
Unfortunately, I understood that the application of Jabaru
to play at the Woodford Folk Festival has been denied....
That's really sad news for the people who get there to listen
to the performers. In my opinion a festival as the Woodford
Folk is a good opportunity for everybody to listen to several
performers. Without Jabaru the festival is incomplete.....Hopefully
you can change your mind and invite them to play on the festival.
You will be surprised and definately not be disappointed.

Greetings from Arctic Adelaide!
I first heard you play over a a year ago down at Glenelg and
was blown away. Since then I have been singing your praises
to all that will listen. Just came back from 3mths living
in Darwin and was surprised and delighted to hear you playing
at Mindil. Your music created the perfect ambience for the
markets and was truly inspirational. Have enjoyed the last
three months going to the markets (and Ski club) to hear you
play. Ain't nothing like sitting on Mindil beach watching
the sunset, eating some fine foods and hearing your rhythms
drifting over the hill. Hasn't been the same since you left.
Anyway, really hoping you come by this way after WA -- I'd
love to hear you again and get the one cd I don't have and
bring my buddies along for a musical treat! How about Womadelaide!?
Happy travels --

Hi Jabau,
My name is Debbie Paini, my husband and I first saw you perform
at the Mindle Markets in Darwin.(the night of the power Blackouts
!!!) I felt so connected to your fantastic music. I tried
to buy your CDs the next day in every music shop in Darwin.
Luckily someone told us you were performing at the Parap Markets
Saturday morning. I arrived in time for another great performance
and bought all three CDs and a tee-shirt. Your CDs drove us
safely home all the way to Kojonup, a very pretty town in
the south west of Western Australia. I have played your music
to so many people and all are inspired and just love it. Our
daughter Shae is 21 and a gifted healer, is also hooked. We
feel this spiritual connection and whenever I'm feeling down
and missing the road I play your music. Back at work this
week, so your CDs have helped !!!!
However I have just checked your tour dates and noticed that
you are heading down our way. Would you consider coming to
Kojonup to play ? We have recently opened an award-winning
Aboriginal Interpretive Centre called "Kodja Place."
Kojonup, home to the local Noongar people for thousands of
years where they led Europeans (Wadjelas) to its central feature
- a freshwater permanent spring in 1837.Wadjelas settled and
Noongars retreated, losing much of their culture. But now in
2003 both groups have come together to share their history
in the creation of an award-winning place.
At the heart of this story lies the recognition of the Noongar
role in Kojonup history. And the land itself with springs
and its special places, a re-discovery of its ecological and
spiritual messages for both Noongars and Wadjelas.Website
www.kodjaplace.net.au
This is no boring museum !!! It is just hands on and so good.
We know its special - we have been everywhere else !!!!! I
think you would also enjoy the Rose Maze (the story of three
women - Noongar,English and Italian growing together) and
the parks and garden surrounds of Kodja Place.
Thanks again for your fantastic music and look forward to
hearing from you.We do hope you can visit us and enjoy our
rural hospitality and friendship.
Cheers Debbie

Hi Rene, hi Rodger,
I just wanted to tell you that I'm enjoying all your 3 CDs
very much back home in Austria now. I heard your performance
on June 5th at the Mindil
Beach
Sunset Market in Darwin which was just great! I really, really
enjoyed myself
there. And when I listened to your music, I couldn't move
on to see the
market stalls. I was kind of caught with your rythms. When
I came back to
the market on the Sunday after my Kakadu-Tour, it was unfortunately
too late.
You had already finished. But I exchanged a few words with
you, Rene, I don't know if you remember.
I just wanted to wish you all the best for the future. And
let me know if
you ever come to Austria (it is a very beautiful country!)
All the best,

Dear Rene,
Thanks very much for the literature that I rec'd yesterday.
Was excited to hear that ya'll have recorded a new cd and
have been sharing your unique sounds around Australia and
the world. I notice that you have not visited the U.S. I can
say that I have sent two of your cds "Zyan and Khanu"
to the states to friends of mine last year. So the vibrations
at out there! My friends loved them and I'm sure it will produce
a chain reaction.
Have read over your website (how exciting is that?). I'm stoked
in the knowledge that I can keep in touch with your performance
dates. I first heard you at the Eumundi Markets last year,
bought both cds, ended up giving them away to friends in the
states and you kindly mailed me two more. Thank you for that.
Living in Central Queensland (between Bundaberg and Gladstone)
the opportunity for live music is far and few between. Particularly
your style. I find it very soothing, healing, uplifting and
spiritual. A very warm and fuzzy feeling!!!!!!!!!!
If you are ever up this way please plan a stay for ya'll will
be welcome with open arms. We have a beautiful beach called
Agnes Water, that you would find quaint, living on the Sunshine
Coast as you do. I actually live in Miriam Vale, on a cattle
property that my husband and I run, have two children 11 and

my daughter (13-months at the time) couldn't unglue her eyes
from you for the whole time we listened to you guys play.
It brought tears to my eyes.
I was really disappointed we couldn't get ourselves organised
to go the Yungaburra concert. And didn't even realise you
were back in town in November, so missed again. But, instead,
I have played "Khanu" almost everyday since then!
Our daughter really loves it when I try(!) to keep up with

I heard about the cases of malaria on the news, but it didn't
even occur to me it might have been you guys! Hope Rodger's
recovering well. Best of luck with your touring, and life

Your music made us feel something never felt before and came

Hello I would just like to say that you two folks are an
incredible couple and are most certainly gifted with your
music and singing abilities.
My daughter Nicole (23) and myself happenned to be in Freemantle
on Saturday 31/5 and saw and watched you both playing outside
the Sail & Anchor to the crowd you had drawn, ourselves
amongst them. We were both mesmerized by your music which
we could have listened to all day.
I was fortunate to purchase your 2 CD's and am proud to say
that I play them all the time. My favourite though is Jabaru
(Zyan) and I must say your lyrics and music hold much depth
and meaning.
It comes to pass that you are very spiritual people and that
spirit is certainly watching over you and your family.
I trust that the opportunity may arise again one day to allow
myself and other fans to listen to your music should you happen
to travel down this way again in the near future.
I know in my heart that we are all blessed by spirit and that
each day holds new beginnings for us all. may we all keep
in touch with Mother Nature and continue to grow and learn
from her and give back just as generously as we all too often
do in taking.
May we maintain balance and harmony both in the physical and
spiritual realm and may the light shine on us all.
God bless, Love & Light Always,
Jenny from Esperance.
Subject: Where are you guys playing this weekend???
Date: Fri, 31 May 2002
Hi Guys,
Caught up with you playing in the Freemantle Mall last weekend,
I was blown away by your performance and bought both of your
CDs. Consequently, booth of the cd's have been in overdrive
mode, going from the stereo in the house, to the four-wheel
drive, and then to my walkman. If you are playing around Perth
over the long weeknd can you let me know so I can come down
and catch you playing again. I have looked in the gig guide,
but can't find you playing anywhere. My contact number is
041******, I look forward to hearing from you soon, keep up
the great work,
Regards,
Barry McNamee.

We came, we saw, we heard....
Brit visitors in Oct 2001, saw you perform in both Brissie
and Eumundi and out three year old daughter Freya was blown
away by the music. She insisted on buying her own CD and cannot
stop playing it - to her new brother Rufus!
The music will always remind us of the fabulous holiday last
year and has become our road music theme. Perhaps we will
return, or better still you may be planning a trip to our
side of the world: let us know, Frey will be waiting to meet
you at the first gig...

Maybe all those Victorians are finding out who you are, but
we up here in
Qld already KNOW and want you back. I so love to hear your
music and have
all the cd's..through Tribal Trance to Zyan and Khanu.
I go to Eumundi every week to have djembe lessons with Kerrie
(steve's wife, Eumundi Drums), and miss hearing your music.
I am the Assistant Director of a large daycare centre at Ningi
(close to Bribie Island) and play the music to the
infants and toddlers as well as the older children. It's diverse
qualities give them the opportunity to experience a part of
culture they normally miss. (Grey Gums Child Care Centre).
Maybe one day they will have that opportunity, but for now
your music is food for their souls....and most certainly for
mine.
IN RHYTHM AND HARMONY......Lynn McGuinness
P.S. Hope your precious boys are travelling well.

Hey,
My name is Liz Dennis and I heard your music for the first
time on the weekend at Glenelg S.A. and i have to say that
it blew me and my friend away!!! We were dumbfounded by the
amount of talent that you guys have!!!
For ages i have been trying to find a new original type of
music that isnt
anything like what is on the charts these days and since buying
'KHANU' i have accomplished it. I have also found that your
music sooths my mind and
relaxes my body. I listen to it when i am doing my homework
and it is
unbeleivable!!! I can concentrate.
This is excellent because i am doing year 12 and i need stimulation
when it comes to homework. Your music is totally unique and
i feel blessed that i own a copy of your brilliant music.
Thankyou.
Love Liz
P.S. please email me back!!!!!!!

I saw you guys for the first time at the Red Hill Market last

fantastic. Your music incorporated such a variation of instruments
and
sounds. My first thought was my kindergarten group will love
to hear your
music, so a CD I'II be purchasing.
